interCaribbean Featured in AIR INTERNATIONAL

Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, February 23, 2018.  interCaribbean Airways was featured in Air International in January 2018.  The article written by Journalist Chris Kjelgaard was inspired from a meeting in Sint Maarten in May 2017, when interCaribbean Airways and Chris were both at an aviation conference.

The article was intended to be published earlier, but the arrival of two Hurricanes postponed this, and was subsequently updated to take account of the affects of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.   Since the time of the writing and then time to publication, much has already changed on the road to recovery.  Tortola in particular of the cities interCaribbean serves was badly hit by Hurricane Irma, and the article pays tribute to our partners in Tortola, who despite working with the personal tragedies of losing much, were ready and prepared to come to work.   It was not always easy to do so at that moment, whether it was as simple as an accessible road to the airport, or the complete lack of communication at that moment.

The Hurricanes affected our plans as a business to expand our footprint, and the communities we serve.  Although some months have since gone by, we are back to business.  The realities remain for many of replacing what one had, and is still a long road to travel.   We salute our partners across the Caribbean who have worked hard to support us throughout those times, and welcome all to continue to support all of our islands of the Caribbean.

We look forward to a fruitful year in 2018.  Please see PDF to enjoy the article. AIR INTERNATIONAL JANUARY 2018 p091_AI_JAN_18 LR rd
